Jamie Roberts enjoyed a remarkable tour after making his Lion debut against the Royal XV
Voted HSBC Player of the Tour, Roberts scored a brace of tries in the convincing win over the Golden Lions
With Wales still undecided on his best position, Roberts struck up a superb centre partnership with Brian O'Driscoll
Roberts forced his way into the Test team where he starred outside Wales colleague Stephen Jones
The trainee doctor was one of the brightest sparks as the Lions fell just short in Durban
Roberts was a much-watched man by the time the second Test took place in Pretoria
Again Roberts impressed, both in attack and in defence
The Cardiff Blues youngster put in some huge hits, like this one on Ruan Pienaar
As well as hitting hard, Roberts proved to be a hard man to bring down at Loftus Versfeld
But a wrist injury in the 28-25 second-Test defeat brought his involvement to a painful and premature end
That injury ensured Roberts could play no further part in the tour meaning he missed the third Test
But Roberts remained on tour and still enjoyed the final-Test triumph in Johannesburg
