The 'Year To Go' lunch was held at The Four Seasons Hotel on 1st June in honour of two of the world's most iconic rugby teams: The British & Irish Lions and the Barbarians to celebrate the impending fixture in June 2013 in Hong Kong. Andy Irvine, Derek Quinnell, Gerald Davies and John Eales were present at the launch.

The four Lions Ambassadors regaled their Lions' experiences; often considered to be the pinnacle of any northern hemisphere rugby player's career, while John Eales talked about his experience on the receiving end of a Lions Tour when he captained Australia in 2001 leading his team to 2-1 victory over Martin Johnson's team.

The launch was attended by representatives from the Australian Rugby Union, HKRU and British & Irish Lions committee as well as the World's media.
