England team manager Johnson explained that his former clubmate remained part of England's plans despite his decision to leave the East Midlands for French outfit Brive during the summer.
Goode, who made the last of his nine intenational appearances in November 2006, has not been included in either the England Elite or Saxons squad for the Six Nations, but Johnson was keen to state that the prolific goal kicker had not been forgotten.
"It was a good opportunity for us to see Andy and give him some training time with the squad," said Johnson.
"Like a number of other players he remains on our radar."
Danny Cipriani and Toby Flood are currently the specialist No10s in England's 32-man Elite Player Squad, with Shane Geraghty also able to cover the position.
England leave for Portugal on January 25 before taking on Italy at Twickenham on February 7.
