The famous stadium has been undergoing reconstruction for the past 20 months but will tonight finally began a new era for the reigning Heineken Cup champions.

With an increased capacity of 26,000 (exactly double it's original limit), Thomond Park is set to host Ireland's clash with Canada and Munster's match against the All Blacks this coming November.

The senior Munster XV will make their debut at the new stadium when they entertain Glasgow a week on Saturday, albeit with a reduced capacity.
