Injuries have meant neither centre Fourie nor scrum-half du Preez have featured for the Boks in 2008 but both players have been named among the replacements and are expected to make an appearance at some stage this weekend.

Cheetahs wing Jongi Nokwe is in line to make his international debut at Coca Cola Park (formerly Ellis Park) but Schalk Burger and Bryan Habana are both omitted from the matchday 22.

Burger and Habana were expected to have recovered from whiplash and a shoulder injury respectively but South Africa head coach Peter de Villiers has decided not to risk either player.

No8 Joe van Niekerk will earn his 50th Test cap if used as a replacement, with veteran fullback Percy Montgomery set to feature in his 99th Test should he also be called upon from the bench.
