The 35-year-old is now playing his club rugby in Japan with Suntory Sungoliath but he will be back on the international stage at Wembley Stadium on December 3 for the London Olympic Centenary Match.
The Barbarians have also announced that former Wallaby head coach Eddie Jones will assist Jake White in preparing the invitational side.
White and Jones guided the Springboks to World Cup glory in 2007, with Jones since taking over at Guinness Premiership side Saracens.
