Rossouw has held the position on a temporary basis for the last fortnight and his permanent appointment was finally confirmed on Tuesday.

"The former Springbok wing and coach of the Western Province under 19 team Pieter Rossouw did an amazing job in his two week trial period and has been appointed as the backline coach of the Vodacom Bulls," a team statement said.

Rossouw is contracted by the Bulls until the end of October and will also assume responsibility of the Currie Cup team's backline.
