Parma fly-half De Marigny is likely to feature against the World XV in in Treviso on February 7 ahead of the RBS 6 Nations opener against holders England eight days later.
The South African-born number 10 told www.gazzettadiparma.it: "It will be great to be part of the 22 players for the 6 Nations.
"I am hoping to play well against the World XV, but I know the coach will probably make plenty of changes and if Rima Wakarua is in form he is likely to be chosen."
Italy have begun their RBS 6 Nations preparations without full-back Gonzalo Canale, ruled out of the England match with an injury.
After their first day of training, assistant coach Glen Ella told www.federugby.it: "I'm satisfied with what I saw this morning. It was better than what I expected.
"I saw quality players with good technical skills and I appreciated the general enthusiasm surrounding this team, which is a fundamental thing for improving."
