Robshaw's men warmed up for their Twickenham clash against Australia by cruising to a 54-12 victory over Fiji on Saturday.

But they will come up against an Australian outfit still seething from their 33-6 humiliation at the hands of France.

"Australia may have just lost to France, but we will be wary of a backlash from them," Robshaw wrote in his Daily Telegraph column.

"I didn't see their defeat on Saturday night but we will review their performance as part of our preparations. They will be desperate to turn us over and we have to be ready to match them."

Warren Gatland is sure to be keeping a close eye on the clash, as he continues to prepare for next year's Lions tour Down Under.

But Robshaw insists that his, and his teammates', sole focus is on continuing the progress made under Stuart Lancaster in the England set-up.

"People have said that this game will be important in terms of impressing Lions coach Warren Gatland for next summer's tour of Australia, but that is not really at the forefront of our minds," said Robshaw.

"It is such an important four weeks that we can only worry about each game at a time and see what happens."

Wallabies captain David Pocock is expected to return to action in the clash but they could be without Rob Simmons, who was cited for a dangerous tackle during the Paris defeat.

Robshaw is well aware of his opposite number's prowess but he is determined to lead from the front.

"The Australian back row is a highly effective unit and David Pocock is an incredible player, one of the best sevens in the world and so influential for them.

"There will be lots of key battles across the pitch but as captain it is important for me to lead from the front.

"Everyone has to deliver their best individual game and if we can do that collectively, it will hopefully be good enough to get another victory."
