The IRB's referees' manager Paddy O'Brien has made it clear Noon's first-half touchdown ought not to have been chalked off, as it was after match official Joel Jutge referred the decision to television adjudicator Christophe Berdos.

"I'm not going to defend the indefensible," O'Brien said.
"It was absolutely a try. It was very disappointing."
