The third-placed Sharks defeated Eddie Jones' Reds 59-16 on Saturday to shatter a 10-year hoodoo in Brisbane and claim a much-needed bonus point after scoring more than four tries in the match.
Muir told sharksrugby.co.za: "We really respect the history behind the Reds franchise, which is pretty similar to the Sharks, and Eddie Jones as a coach.
"Queensland were just unfortunate to catch us on a day when we clicked.
"This was only our second bonus point of the competition, so we're happy to have picked one up. The extra point is vital, especially when you can get it overseas."
Muir said he was looking forward to the battle with the Blues in North Harbour, but admitted it would be a tough game for his side.
"The Blues are a classy team," he added.
"They are number one and the form team. Their running lines are superb and they have very few weaknesses. It's certainly going to be an exciting game."
