McAlister has been linked with a number of offers from northern hemisphere clubs after failing to sign a multi-year deal this summer.
The 23-year-old has admitted to holding talks over potential moves, but insists he is fully focused on his own game.
"We all get them. But they are so far in the back of my head right now I couldn't even tell you when I have to make a decision," he told the Sunday Star-Times
"It's always been a goal to play for the All Blacks and being able to do that is huge.
"Staying in the black jersey is a hard thing to do. There are so many young fellas coming through, the position is always open.
"I have to think about my future, but not right now."
