White named a team of fringe players with scrum-half Ricky Januarie and captain John Smit the only two survivors from the two-Test series against England.

Flanker Luke Watson was included as one of two players who will make their Test debut on Saturday with Sharks centre Waylon Murray the other one.

There was also a recall for veteran Bob Skinstad in his first start since 2004, while fly-half Derick Hougaard will play his first Test since the World Cup in 2003.
