The loose forward and his England team-mate Jason Robinson have been named in the midweek side to take on second division outfit Manawatu and Corry is aware his Test place is under threat following the 21-3 defeat to New Zealand in Christchurch last weekend.

However, the 31-year-old Leicester Tigers flanker said the main focus now was to ensure the Lions returned to winning ways.

"As individuals you've got to put your personal disappointments on the back burner and say if I'm not playing in another Test match and we win the series then I'll take that," Corry said.

"It's a huge game for us now. We've got to get the feel-good factor going on and get the buzz going in the camp and the only way we can do that is by putting in a highly-spirited performance.

"I don't think it's the greatest call to go my way but it's one of those things. Touring is about taking the good with the bad and this is a bit of a bad time for me but I've got an opportunity now to see what I can do on Tuesday.

"We're not going to go walking around feeling sorry for ourselves we've got to make sure we put in a good performance and can start to get some feel-good factor back in the camp."

It has been a tough few days for the Lions camp, with their poor performance against the All Blacks compounded by injuries to skipper Brian O'Driscoll, Richard Hill and Tom Shanklin which have ruled them out of the tour.

Lock Danny Grewcock's tour is also over after he received a two-month ban for biting Keven Mealamu.

But Corry insisted there would be no lingering hangover from Saturday's loss, with players such as himself, Robinson and Neil Back, who has been selected on the bench for Tuesday's game, keen to make amends.

"Everyone is just desperate to atone and get the tour back on track, really, and I hate saying phrases like that. But there is a huge element of that where people in the camp want to be talking favourably about the rugby match. Hopefully we can get a good buzz out of the way we play [on Tuesday]."

The Lions have reached something of a crossroads on this tour. A poor performance against a side that could only finish sixth in the National Provincial Championship second division last year would lead to further criticism.

But Robinson, who will revert from fullback to wing for Tuesday's game, believes that is not about to happen.

"I think we are due a good win. There have been some good performances but the main thing for us is just to get back on track - it's as simple as that."

The England fullback also questioned the idea that because he was going to play against Manawatu his chances of playing in the second Test in Wellington had gone.

"You don't know that, do you? I'm picked to play on Tuesday and that's what's on my mind. If I don't get picked for the Saturday game then I'll deal with that as and when.

"I've an opportunity to go out there and put in a performance like everybody else."

As for Manawatu, their coach Charlie McAlister insists his team will not be overawed by the occasion.

"We're looking for them to play as best as they possibly can as individuals and as part of a team. Wherever that takes us, takes us I guess. But they are certainly not going to be overawed by the side the Lions have put out.

"It's a very, very strong Lions side so I guess they are looking to make a statement.

"It's pretty clear that they are in a wee bit of disarray through a number of reasons, like suspension and injuries and things not going to plan, so it's a challenge for their management and coaches.

"They've put a big pack out against us and the boys are excited and can't wait."

McAlister has named just one player with Super 12 experience in his starting line-up.

Hooker Nathan Kemp, a former Blues player, will captain the second division side that consists mostly of Manawatu club players.

Kemp played eight times for the Blues but headed to Manawatu after failing to displace Mealamu and Derren Witcombe, who are now in the All Blacks squad.
