icester duo Lewis Moody and Ben Kay and Wasps' scrum-half Matt Dawson should be available for the Millennium stadium clash after all suffered scares this week.
All three will be desperate to prove themselves worthy of a place in Sir Clive Woodward's squad, with the Six Nations the perfect platform for doing so.
Moody tweaked his hamstring in midweek and was a late withdrawal from the Tigers' side which defeated Harlequins 32-17 on Saturday.
Kay, who is thought to have been earmarked for one of the second-row spots, developed flu but was pressed into action against Quins when fellow lock, and two-time Lions captain, Martin Johnson also pulled out with a back injury.
Dawson was left out of Wasps' match with Bath after suffering an injury to his right calf.
Tigers head coach John Wells expects both Kay and Moody to be available for next weekend, however, and Wasps head coach Warren Gatland expects Dawson to be fit when England meet for training next week.
"Johnno called this morning to say he'd hurt his back and then Ben rang to say he was sick. I said: 'Let's see what we can do when you get to the ground'. The situation was that it was not in Johnno's best interest to play," said Wells.
"We asked Ben to play and he did well to get through the match - he was on his last legs. Lewis picked up a mild hamstring strain on Wednesday. There was no chance of him playing today, but he should be fine in a couple of days.
"If England hold back on his training early in the week then he should be there or thereabouts for the weekend. Both he and Ben are short-term problems so they should be OK for Wales."
And Gatland had equally good news on scrum-half Dawson.
"He's got a fitness test with England in the week but he's got a good chance of playing," Gatland said.
However, fellow Lions hopeful Gloucester flanker Andy Hazell faces an anxious wait over his fitness after limping out of his side's 28-16 win over Worcester at Kingsholm.
His knee injury is expected to be assessed on Sunday.
