Carter banned for a week
10 November 2009 13:14pm
Dan Carter has been suspended
Dan Carter will miss New Zealand's clash with Italy after being banned for a week.
Crusaders outside-half Carter had been cited for a high tackle on Wales' replacement scrum-half Martin Roberts during the All Blacks' narrow victory in Cardiff.
Having already apologized for the incident, Carter acknowledged responsibility and received the minimum punishment for a guilty charge.
Carter is free to resume playing on November 17, meaning he will be available for the games against England and France on November 21 and 28 respectively.
