Back where it all began for him in a Lions jersey in 2001, O'Driscoll crossed for a try in each half to prove he has still got what it takes to play at the highest level at the age of 34.

"There's a bit of brawn in the backline, which has been well documented, but there were some nice subtleties to mix in with it as well. We saw a couple of great offloads from two big men and there's plenty more to come," said O'Driscoll in his post-match interview.

"It's always nice to get on the end of moves and I have some nice off-loads to thank from George (North) and Manu (Tuilagi). We're relatively pleased with the performance, there's plenty to work on, but it was nice to score some good tries - we have to continue building.

"The boys set the standard in Hong Kong and we need to keep moving forward because we know what a test lies ahead of us with the Wallabies. There were some great aspects to the game, but still plenty to work on."

O'Driscoll has now scored eight tries in 15 outings for the Lions and he has scored in five of his seven games on Australian soil.
