The 24-year-old ran in two tries of his own and had a hand in everything good that his side came up with in a 40-17 win.
And after two successive defeats to begin their Heineken Cup campaign this season Tipuric admitted it was nice to get back to winning ways in the Welsh derby.
"It's been a hard two weeks to be honest, we've been so frustrated that we've let ourselves down," he said.
"We've let the fans down, let the coaches down. And it's been a hard two weeks and we've just had to get down [to] working hard."
And Dragons coach Kingsley Jones was fulsome in his praise of Tipuric whose moments of 'genius' changed the game for the Ospreys.
"I think their first two tries were probably from individual genius," said Jones.
"Matthew Morgan taking advantage of a miss-match with a fantastic break and Tipuric - everything he touched turned to gold."
