Roberts suffered soreness in his shoulder in the closing stages of the 23-15 victory at the Millennium Stadium and underwent a scan to assess any possible damage.

He has since been given the all clear to make the trip to the French capital as Wales go in search of a record-equaling ninth consecutive championship win.

"Jamie had some soreness after the game on Saturday and so we took steps to ascertain the extent of the damage to his shoulder, if any," said Mark Davies, the Wales and former Lions physio.

"Specialists have determined that the shoulder is in a stable condition and so there is no reason why he should be prevented from being in contention for the game against France."

After a man-of-the-match display in the opening win over Scotland at Murrayfield, Roberts was effectively man marked by Joe Worsley last weekend but still put in an impressive and committed performance.

Wales coach and 2009 Lions forwards coach Warren Gatland will be glad to know that one of Britain and Ireland's in-form players has been confirmed fit for selection just a day after it was announced that fellow centre Gavin Henson and wing Shane Williams will also be available.

Henson has yet to feature in the Six Nations after failing to recover from a calf injury, while Williams picked up an ankle strain against Scotland and missed the clash with England.
