The current World Champions take on the 2007 Rugby World Cup pre-tournament favourites and the reigning Tri Nations Champions in the first of three successive away matches for Peter de Villiers' side.

With the bulk of the squad having arrived in Wellington from Johannesburg, via Sydney, close to midnight on Friday, the Springboks held their first session on Sunday morning for approximately an hour.

Captain John Smit will join up with his team-mates on Tuesday due to his commitments in the French Top 14 Final with club side Clermont Auvergne.

The South African side will be named on Thursday ahead of the 8.35 BST kick off on Saturday morning.
