The England Under 20 team meet New Zealand in the final of the IRB Junior World Cup in Swansea on Sunday.
Gloucester outside half Ryan Lamb edged the kicking duel 16-14 over Scottish marksman Gordon Ross and was responsible for giving his team a 16-9 interval lead. As well as his 11 points, Bath wing Matt Banahan raced in for the game's first try.
After the break the Scots came storming back into the contest and a try by Colin Gregor, converted by Ross, brought them level. Then Ross stole the lead with a penalty.
The Saxons responded magnificently to the pressure and added further tries through Bath full back Nick Abendanon, Leicester No 8 Jordan Crane and Harlequins wing Ugo Moyne.
