Ireland coach Declan Kidney has delayed announcing his team to face the Pumas until later today (Thursday).
Quinlan is suspended from all rugby until December 7, meaning he will also miss matches for his province as well as his country's final autumn international this weekend.
New Zealand prop Tony Woodcock, who was cited for striking in the same match, has escaped further punishment after being sin binned at Croke Park.
Woodcock's availability for the clash with Wales in Cardiff had been in doubt after he admitted foul play against Ireland hooker Rory Best but the 27-year-old is now free to take his place in the starting line up.
