O'Gara currently has 993 European points to his name from 78 appearances, giving him an average of 12.73 points per match.
His tally has featured eight tries, 133 conversions, 216 penalties and 13 drop goals in a career that has so far brought two Heineken Cup winners medals.
O'Gara scored 13 points against Biarritz in Munster's first Heineken Cup triumph in 2006, before adding 11 points in the 16-13 win over Toulouse earlier this year.
The last time O'Gara finished a Heineken Cup match without scoring a single point was in Munster's 18-5 defeat to Bath way back on October 28, 2000.
The 31-year-old has represented Ireland on 85 occasions and has claimed a further 835 points for his country.
O'Gara made 11 appearances for the Lions on the tours of Australia and New Zealand, scoring 75 points in the process, and he could well be included in Ian McGeechan's squad for the tour of South Africa next summer.
