Ospreys prop Aaron Jarvis is the only uncapped player in the 35-man party which includes French-based Lions Mike Phillips, James Hook and Gethin Jenkins and fellow Top 14 star Luke Charteris.
There is still no place for Clermont Auvergne and Lions Test full back Lee Byrne, though, as Liam Williams of the Scarlets is named as the second full back alongside Leigh Halfpenny.
Dragons blindside and RBS 6 Nations Player of the Year Dan Lydiate is among those ruled out through injury, with props Rhodri Jones (shoulder) and Craig Mitchell (bicep) also missing.
Dan Biggar's fine form at fly-half for the Ospreys sees him handed a chance to press Rhys Priestland and Hook for the No10 shirt, while Scarlets back row Rob McCusker and scrum-half Tavis Knoyle are also recalled in place of Lydiate and Rhys Webb.
"We are really pleased with the strength and depth of the squad with some pleasing individual performances over the last three or four weeks, but we all understand and realize the skill, physicality and intensity will go up over the next five weeks," said Wales caretaker coach Rob Howley, who will stand in for Lions boss Warren Gatland for the opening games against Argentina and Samoa.
"This is one of the reasons we are going back to our training camp in Poland to sharpen minds and bodies.
"Argentina are first up and, after the experience they have gained in the Rugby Championship, they will be a challenging and tough opponent, but this is a challenge we will look forward too.
"We know how important momentum is going into any series and the bigger picture is the Rugby World Cup draw at the beginning of December and how we perform against the Pumas, Samoa, the All Blacks and the Wallabies will have a direct effect on our seeding in that draw.
"We need a successful November to back up our performances at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand and the Six Nations Grand Slam earlier this year and we are determined to achieve it."
Wales begin their preparations for the November 10 clash with Argentina with a week's training camp in Spala that starts this coming Sunday.
