It follows on from Scotland's defeat to Ireland last weekend and Hogg admits defeat in such disappointing fashion is a bitter pill to swallow.
"We'd talked all week about Scotland v England and it being the biggest game possible," he said.
"And to have them on our own pitch was a great opportunity for us to put one over on them. It's really frustrating as we've come away with a loss.
"It's about parking this and then getting on with the Italians away in a couple of weeks' time.
"It's all about getting on the horse again and fighting back, showing that we're capable of winning a game or two."
