Italy prop Andrea Lo Cicero insists his side will not be overawed when they open their RBS 6 Nations campaign against world champions England on February 15.
The Lazio Primavera man believes Rome's Stadio Flaminio will come alive for the visit of Clive Woodward's side, who have never lost to the Italians in the tournament.
Lo Cicero said: "We will not go onto the pitch thinking we have already lost that game. In Italy we say that the hope is the last to die, and we do not fear anybody. There is a good relationship between the players and morale is very high."
He added on www.iltempo.it: "I'm very happy to play at Rome and I think it is a beautiful idea to play in the capital in a prestigious match like this with the reigning world champions.
"It would be wonderful to see our colours dominate the stadium against the English and this could be a good start."
