Cole featured in all three Tests in Australia in 2013
British & Irish Lions prop Dan Cole is happy to let emotion fuel England as they prepare to bounce back to winning ways next weekend.
Following back-to-back victories over Wales and Italy, the Red Rose were beaten 19-9 by Ireland at the Aviva Stadium last weekend.
An ill-disciplined England were punished by the boot of Lions fly-half Jonathan Sexton before Robbie Henshaw's second-half try secured the result for the Men in Green.
Cole and co have had plenty of time to reflect on the performance and the result before next weekend's clash with a Scotland at Twickenham.
And the tighthead prop - who featured in all three Tests of the Lions' victorious 2013 tour to Australia - insists the disappointment of last weekend can be used to help England kick on.
"There is room for emotion because you are frustrated with the game and there were a few things we've gone over," said Cole.
"We didn't plan to do a lot of the stuff that we did. Trust me, we didn't train what we did at the weekend. We didn't do that on the training field.
"There is that frustration and it comes out in anger or whatever from coaches and players because they are frustrated in that regard. It is not just a cool, calm dissection - sometimes it is but if a point needs to be raised, it is talked about."
