starred as the French outfit powered past Northampton Saints in the European quarter-final on Saturday.
Davies formed a midfield partnership with France's Wesley Fofana, while Noa Nakaitaci and Nick Abendanon picked up a trio of tries between them from the back three to secure the win.
And 26-year-old Davies admits competing with the star names at the Stade Marcel Michelin is having a positive effect on his game.
"Coming here to Clermont, I wanted to put pressure on myself to improve," he told Sky Sports.
"We have got a great squad with four brilliant centres, and I want to test myself with those guys - it's down to me to perform.
"I'm enjoying myself massively, but I've got to keep putting in performances.
"Displays like the one against Northampton are all down to the preparation from coaches. We executed perfectly as well, which gave us a great start.
"We are confident moving forward in the tournament, but we know we will need to put in a lot of work ahead of the semi-final."
