Brad Barritt made Lions appearances against the Brumbies and Melbourne Rebels in 2013
British & Irish Lion Brad Barritt is aiming to put an injury-hit season behind him by helping club side Saracens to glory.
The centre has endured a stop-start season - missing chunks of time for both club and country due to a succession of knocks - but he is back in the starting line-up, alongside fellow Lions Mako Vunipola and Owen Farrell, for their semi-final trip to Northampton Saints.
Neither has the 28-year-old been forgotten by England boss Stuart Lancaster, who named him in his 50-man World Cup training camp earlier this week.
And Barritt is desperate to get his hands on some silverware before joining up with the England squad - with
Saracens having lost to Northampton in last year's final.
"This season has been different for us, myself and the team have had to deal with a lot of injuries along the way," said Barritt, who appeared two times for the Lions on tour in 2013.
"But the way the team has obviously scrapped and fought in every situation to get into this play-off, it almost seems like fate that it goes the other way.
"So, now we're back to full strength and buzzing, it's a brilliant one to play for and to see it off with a trophy at the end.
"It's obviously an exciting game to come back for, one that the whole team has been relishing. There's been a sense of excitement and a buzz around the training ground this week."
