Paul announced late last year that after the 2007 Super 14 season and 2007 World Cup, he will be looking to play out his career overseas, possibly in the UK or France.

The recent emergence of a number of high profile hookers in the Super 14 may work out in Paul's favour and entice the Wallabies' most capped hooker for another couple of seasons in the southern hemisphere.

There are currently seven hookers playing in Australian Super 14 clubs that have played in the Wallabies front-row in the past 12 months - Paul, Brendan Cannon (Force), Tai McIsaac (Force), Stephen Moore (Reds), Sean Hardman (Reds), Adam Freier (NSW) and Tatafu Polota-Nau (NSW).

But with McIsaac left out of Wallabies coach John Connolly's World Cup squad, there is a chance he will seek an overseas contract when his contract with the Western Force runs out at the end of this season.

Add to that the fact that Force team-mate Cannon, 34, is proposed to announce his retirement after the World Cup, and it would leave the Western Australian franchise without a recognised hooker.

And with the Brumbies believed to be targeting 24-year-old starlet Moore, who has been left on the bench behind Hardman in the Reds' opening matches of the Super 14 this year, Paul has received a big offer from the Western Force for his services.

Pat Wilson, the ARU high-performance manager, confirmed the Force, along with an English club and the Brumbies, has made a formal offer to the 30-year-old Paul.

"Jeremy has to weigh up his options," ARU high-performance manager Pat Wilson said.

"We'll put an offer to him which reflects his standing and see what he wants to do."

Australian selectors will be able to gauge the progress of Paul, Hardman, and Moore when the Reds host the Brumbies in Brisbane in the third round of Super 14 on Saturday.
