The Yorkshire club dropped the Tykes from their name and will be known as Leeds Carnegie from July 1 when the ground-breaking arrangement officially comes into force.

The university's sports faculty Carnegie have taken a 51% stake in the club and will be represented on the new four-man board by vice chancellor Simon Lee and finance director Stephen Willis.

Gary Hetherington will continue as chief executive and represent Leeds Rugby Ltd on the board, alongside commercial director Rob Oates.

"This is a unique development whereby a professional sports team and a higher educational establishment come together," Hetherington told a news conference at Headingley.

The British & Irish Lions will dust themselves down after losing their unbeaten record to the Brumbies and be back at work in a positive frame of mind from Wednesday, according to 2009 Test full back Rob Kearney.
