The 31-year-old won his 23rd cap that Sunday afternoon in Paris, and has not been required by England boss Clive Woodward since.
But Charlie Hodgson's knee ligament injury - he could be sidelined for six months - has thrust Grayson back into the England spotlight.
Called into a 30-man training squad last week, he has every chance of making England's match-day 22, either as fly-half bench cover for Jonny Wilkinson, or even in a starting role.
"I will turn up with England on Tuesday, and hopefully I will be involved in some capacity. That would be fantastic," Grayson said.
"Beyond this weekend, I've got a day or so to wait and see. If I am involved, then great, but if if I am not, then it's no big loss.
"It is fantastic to be back in the reckoning, albeit under the cloud of injury to Charlie."
