Stoica picked up thigh strain during a club match for his French side Castres Olympique at the weekend.

Benetton Treviso wing Nicola Mazzucato has been called up to replace the Romanian-born Stoica, who will also provide cover for Mauro Bergamasco.

Bergamasco, who was converted from the pack to the wing by Kirwan to great effect, is also carrying an injury but is fit enough to train with the squad.
