France skipper Fabien Galthie has withdrawn from his country's squad for the RBS 6 Nations match with Ireland on March 8, according to L'Equipe.
Scrum-half Galthie's likely replacement in the number nine shirt will be Biarritz player Dimitri Yachvili while Fabien Pelous is tipped to take over as captain for Les Bleus.
Galthie picked up a shoulder injury during the 38-3 victory over Scotland at the weekend and will be an absentee for three weeks.
However, he should be available for France's trip to play Italy in Rome on March 23.
