The second-row forward played club rugby for Blackheath, Halifax, London Scottish and the Army.

Campbell-Lamerton captained the British and Irish Lions on their tour of Australia, New Zealand and Canada in 1966.

He also earned 23 caps for Scotland between 1961 and 1966, leading his country on two occasions - against Wales and Ireland in 1965.

His son, Jeremy, also played for Scotland, winning three caps in 1986 and 1987.
