British & Irish Lion Gareth Cooper is hoping grasp the chance to impress Sir Clive Woodward in the pre-tour match against Argentina on May 23.
The 26-year-old Welsh scrum-half has recovered from the ankle injury that blighted his Six Nations tournament, and is keen to face the Pumas at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
"My ankle's feeling good and I'm looking forward to getting back on the field," he told Wales on Sunday. "It won't affect me at all.
"It would be something special to play for the Lions at the Millennium Stadium in front of a lot of Welsh fans. Hopefully, I'll get a run-out and prove my fitness as well."
