Lions Australia Tour 2013

Scotland and British & Irish Lions forward Simon Taylor will start his first game for almost a year when he lines up in Saracens colours on Wednesday night.

Back-row star Taylor, currently on a week’s loan with the Premiership club, features at number eight against South African Super 12 side The Cats at Vicarage Road.

The 25-year-old made a 20-minute substitute’s appearance when Saracens beat Premiership rivals Northampton on Saturday, but he now features in a powerful starting line-up alongside the likes of Taine Randell, Iain Fullarton and Raphael Ibanez.

Taylor suffered a serious knee ligament injury during last season’s Six Nations Championship, yet he is now on course for an international return ahead of the Lions tour to New Zealand this summer.
