Lions Australia Tour 2013

Sir Clive Woodward admits that the build-up to the Tsunami Game will act as a useful practice run for this summer’s British & Irish Lions tour.

The coach of the northern hemisphere side, who will also lead the Lions to New Zealand in June, believes that the process of bringing together a group of players from different countries for the one off charity game, will stand him in good stead for the summer tour.

Woodward said: "I’ve had so many great memories of five or six years and I’ve not been back for nine months, so just to talk to the team, with players from different countries, has been interesting.

"That’s what it’s going to be like in a few months time when the Lions get together so it’s a good dress rehearsal. It’s good to be back and I’m really looking forward to the Lions."
