Lions Australia Tour 2013

British & Irish Lions full-back Geordan Murphy will make his first appearance of the season on Saturday – a week earlier than planned.

The Ireland international has answered a Leicester SOS to feature against Premiership rivals Wasps at Causeway Stadium.

Murphy replaces Sam Vesty, who is sidelined through a groin injury, while another late change sees centre Daryl Gibson taking over from calf muscle victim Dan Hipkiss.

"We were hoping to give Geordie an extra week off, but Sam’s groin has got progressively worse, so he might need a few weeks off to get over that," said Tigers head coach Pat Howard.
