Former New Zealand coach John Mitchell has pledged his future to the Western Force amid reports linking him with the vacant Australia post.

The Wallabies are seeking a replacement for the recently-sacked Eddie Jones but Mitchell, who only this year was installed as the coach of the newly-formed Western Force Super 14 team, has ruled himself out of the running.

"I am totally committed to the players, support staff and organisation in Perth," said Mitchell, who has a three-year contract with Western Force.

"I pursued this challenge in Perth from day one and it’s unfinished business."
