Leicester coach Pat Howard welcomes back a host of internationals for their Premiership clash with Worcester on Friday night.

With a break in the RBS 6 Nations calender, English Premiership clubs have recalled their international players to bolster their squads.

England scrum-half Harry Ellis returns to club duty determined to reignite Leicester’s faltering campaign.

The Tigers were leap-frogged by Gloucester after a 34-16 defeat at Kingsholm last week – with their internationals away on RBS 6 Nations duty – and dropped to fourth in the table.

But with Gloucester and second-placed Wasps not in action until Sunday, Ellis is confident Leicester can put the pressure on by striking an early blow against Worcester on Friday night.

"We have to raise our game," admitted Ellis.

"Our away form has been poor and we have to get some momentum going – but things don’t just happen at home. We still have to turn up and play really well.

"There are always things to work on and improve on and that’s what we do in training all week.

"But we are still in three competitions and there’s no reason why we can’t win them all if we keep improving."

Ellis’ confidence is understandable. Leicester have not lost in 21 games at Welford Road – a run that stretches back over two years.

And Tigers coach Pat Howard has his full international contingent back and available. Geordan Murphy, Martin Corry, Lewis Moody, Andy Goode and Julian White all start against the Warriors.
