Leeds scrum-half Danny Care has joined the Headingley exodus by signing a three-year contract with Harlequins.

Care, 19, made six appearances for the relegated Tykes this season and was a member of England’s sevens squad which won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games.

Quins director of rugby Dean Richards said: "There is no question that Danny is one of the most exciting young players in England at present.

"To have secured his services for three years is a great boost for the club.

"His battle with Steve So’oialo for the number nine jersey next season will be fascinating and I’m sure will provide the coaching team with a great selection headache."
