President of the 2007 Rugby World Cup Organising Committee Bernard Lapasset has confirmed the sale of 30,000 tickets already for the game between Scotland and New Zealand on September 23.

A further 13,000 tickets for the match at Murrayfield are also accounted for – to sponsors, partners and participating unions.

Ticket sales for Scotland’s other Murrayfield World Cup clash – against Romania on September 18 – have also been brisk with 10,000 spectators having already purchased their seats.

The Scottish Rugby Union are now working with the organising committee to further promote the World Cup games through the RBS 6 Nations tournament.
