Former England captain Bill Beaumont has been appointed vice-chairman of the International Rugby Board.

Beaumont, a Rugby Football Union IRB Council member, succeeds Bob Tuckey, who did not seek re-election at the IRB’s annual meeting in Dublin.

Tuckey though, will continue in his role as a director of Rugby World Cup Limited.
