France bring in trio

French coach Marc Lievremont has made just three changes to his team for this Saturday’s clash with the Pacific Islanders.

Lievremont, who has become renowned for the number of alterations he has made to his starting XV during his short time in charge, has retained the same backline that played in the 12-6 win over Argentina last weekend.

Al three changes come in the pack, where tighthead prop Nicolas Mas, loosehead Lionel Faure and flanker Fulgence Ouedraogo take over from Benoit Lecouls, Fabien Barcella and Louis Picamoles.
Lievremont has also made a positional switch, with Imanol Haridordoquy moving from the flank to No8.

There are two English-based players in the 22-man squad in the form of Leicester hooker Benjamin Kayser and Sale’s Sebastien Chabal.

France: Maxime Medard, Julien Malzieu, Yannick Jauzion, Benoit Baby, Cedric Heymans, David Skrela, Jean-Baptiste Elissalde, Lionel Faure, Dimitri Szarzewski, Nicolas Mas, Romain Millo-Chluski, Lionel Nallet (captain), Thierry Dusautoir, Fulgence Ouedraogo, Imanol Harnordoquy

Replacements: Benjamin Kayser, Benoit Lecouls, Sebastien Chabal, Louis Picamoles, Sebastien Tillous-Borde, Damien Traille, Alexis Palisson
