Jones continues to receive plaudits

Lions prop Adam Jones continues to receive the plaudits after an impressive start to the season.

The tight-head forged his reputation as one of the World's toughest scrummagers on the 2009 Lions tour of South Africa and he has continued to dominate at the set-piece this season.

Jones was one of the shining lights in Wales' disappointing Autumn Series and has returned the Ospreys in fine form, even picking up the man of the match award in his side's Heineken Cup victory over Munster.

Now Swansea RFC legend Keith Colclough who made almost 400 appearances over 20 years in the heart of the All Whites front-row has joined those singing Jones' praises.

"There are not many better tight-heads in the game than Adam," said Colclough. "He is up there in the top three in the world.

"At 29, he is at the peak of his powers, a player who can handle close to any challenge put his way on a rugby pitch.

"He has developed into an excellent scrummager who can stop an opposition wheel and apply pressure himself.

"All the work he and others have put in has paid off. And Adam is able to keep going for the full 80 minutes, not just in the scrums. The Ospreys and Wales are lucky to have him.

"The other big plus is that he plays the game without any fuss. He lets his rugby do the talking and seems as honest as the day is long."
