Lions greats countdown to Australia.

To mark the launch of the one year to go programme, Tour Manager for The Lions Andy Irvine, Team Manager for the Barbarians Derek Quinnell and Chairman and Lions legend Gerald Davies participated in a round table discussion and one-on-one interviews with Hong Kong’s media.

As part of their discussion on all things rugby, the Lions’ legends provided their insight into the Tour, who might be the players to travel and the much anticipated warm-up match in Hong Kong with the iconic Barbarians on June 1st.

As part of the build-up Andy Irvine, Derek Quinnell, Gerald Davies and John Eales revealed the much-anticipated Lions’ mascot – Bill at the HK Stadium together with HK rugby playing youths.

Bill will be a very visible model around Hong Kong over the next 12 months as he attends events and matches in the country to promote rugby and the forthcoming Lions game
