North happy as Wales bounce back

British & Irish Lion George North declared himself pleased with the way he and his Wales teammates bounced back from defeat to England as they convincingly put Scotland to the sword.

Fresh from losing 29-18 at Twickenham, North and Wales were back in action at the Millennium Stadium as they looked to get back to winning ways against Scotland.

And Wales did exactly that as they won 51-3, North and fellow British & Irish Lion Jamie Roberts helping themselves to a pair of tries each in the victory.

And, while North admitted the England defeat was still fresh in his memory, he was more than happy to go some way to putting it to bed with victory over Scotland.

“It doesn't make up for it [the England defeat] but the performance we had was good,” he said.

“It's been a tough few weeks for us. We've worked really hard to get back up to where we have been.

“We trained very hard this week and I think it showed. There are still bits to work on but from last week it's a great performance and a lot better really.

“I'm happy with that. All the boys played exceptionally well and when the game's open like that, that's the way we like to play.”
