Tipuric wants to get back to enjoying himself

British & Irish Lions flanker Justin Tipuric has vowed to get back to enjoying himself after playing less than he would have liked for Wales over the past two months.

Tipuric made just one start during Wales’ five matches throughout February and March and is determined to bounce back with club side Ospreys as the end of season run in looms.

Then comes Wales’ summer tour to South Africa for the 24-year-old, who featured in the third and final Test of the Lions’ tour to Australia, which saw them clinch the series with a 41-16 win.

However Tipuric admits he isn’t thinking too far ahead and just wants to get back to playing rugby and taking pleasure from running out during the remaining weeks of the season.

“I haven’t even thought about it at all, to be honest – but I didn’t have as much rugby [for Wales] as I would have liked [recently],” Tipuric told WalesOnline.

“I’ve come back to the Ospreys to enjoy myself and, hopefully, to help get us into the play-offs, which isn’t going to be easy. I just want to concentrate on playing for the Ospreys.”
