British & Irish Lion Alun Wyn Jones insists his commitment to club side Ospreys remains unwavering after the Welsh region missed out on the PRO12 playoffs for the second successive year.
A shock defeat to Italian outfit Zebre last week saw Ospreys slip too far behind in the race for the playoffs, having to settle for fifth behind Ulster.
Despite the domestic setback 28-year-old Jones has already achieved much in his career, starting every Test on his second Lions tour last summer to help clinch victory in Australia.
And Jones, who signed a new two-year contract with Ospreys in January, believes he can restore glory to his region and add to their four PRO12 titles.
"I made my intention clear by re-signing for the Ospreys," Jones said
"There's a lot of hard work being done to build stable foundations for this organisation and allow it to flourish on and off the field in the coming seasons.
"I believe in what we are doing for the long-term good of the Ospreys.
"That is why I stayed. I want the region to achieve its aims."
